⁸ For ^(A)we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of our ^(B)affliction which came to us in ^[a](C)Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even to live.

¹⁰ who ^(A)rescued us from so great a peril of death, and will rescue us, ^[a]He ^(B)on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet rescue us,

¹¹ For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
