²¹ Then Elijah approached all the people and said, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions?^(A) If Yahweh is God, follow Him. But if Baal, follow him.”^(B) But the people didn’t answer him a word.

² they approached Zerubbabel and the leaders of the families and said to them, “Let us build with you, for we also worship your God and have been sacrificing to Him^[a] since the time King Esar-haddon of Assyria^[b] brought us here.”^(A)
