¹⁷ Eli responded, “Go in peace,^(A) and may the God of Israel grant the request you’ve made of him.”^(B)

²⁰ They received help against these enemies because they cried out to God in battle, and the Hagrites and all their allies were handed over to them.^(A) He was receptive to their prayer because they trusted in him.^(B)

¹³ He prayed to him, and the Lord was receptive to his prayer. He granted his request^(A) and brought him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom. So Manasseh came to know that the Lord is God.^(B)

²³ So we fasted and pleaded with our God about this, and he was receptive to our prayer.

¹⁰ And not only that,^(A) but Rebekah conceived children^(B) through one man, our father Isaac.
