¹¹ But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there a prophet of the Lord here? Let’s inquire of the Lord through him.”^(A)

One of the servants of the king of Israel answered, “Elisha son of Shaphat,^(B) who used to pour water on Elijah’s hands, is here.”

⁸ When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, he sent a message to the king: “Why have you torn your clothes? Have him come to me, and he will know there is a prophet in Israel.”^(A)
