Nathan’s Parable and David’s Repentance

12 So the Lord sent Nathan to David.^(A) When he arrived, he said to him:

²⁵ and He sent a message through Nathan the prophet, who named^[a] him Jedidiah,^[b] because of the Lord.

⁸ but Zadok the priest,^(A) Benaiah son of Jehoiada,^(B) Nathan the prophet,^(C) Shimei,^(D) Rei, and David’s warriors^(E) did not side with Adonijah.

¹⁰ but he did not invite Nathan the prophet, Benaiah, the warriors, or his brother Solomon.^(A)
