Vision of a Glorious One

10 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia,^(A) a message was revealed to Daniel, who was named Belteshazzar.^(B) The message was true and was about a great conflict. He understood the message and had understanding of the vision.^(C)

¹⁴ Now I have come to help you understand what will happen to your people in the last days,^(A) for the vision refers to those days.”^(B)

³⁵ Some of the wise will fall so that they may be refined,^(A) purified, and cleansed^(B) until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.

³⁶ For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised.^(A)

⁹ The Lord does not delay His promise,^(A) as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any^(B) to perish^(C) but all to come to repentance.^(D)

¹⁰ He also said to me, “Don’t seal the prophetic words of this book, because the time is near.^(A)
