24 “When a man takes a wife and marries her, and it happens, if she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some ^(A)indecency in her, that ^(B)he writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and ^[a]sends her away from his house,

³ and the latter husband ^[a]turns against her, writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand, and ^[b]sends her away from his house, or if the latter husband who took her to be his wife dies,

⁸ And I saw that for all the ^[a]adulteries of faithless Israel, I had sent her away and ^(A)given her a certificate of divorce, yet her ^(B)treacherous sister Judah did not fear; but she went and prostituted herself also.
