¹⁶ He fed you in the wilderness with manna^(A) that your fathers had not known, in order to humble and test you, so that in the end He might cause you to prosper.

⁴⁰ “I will make an everlasting covenant with them:^(A) I will never turn away from doing good to them, and I will put fear of Me in their hearts so they will never again turn away from Me. ⁴¹ I will take delight in them to do what is good for them, and with all My heart and mind I will faithfully plant them in this land.^(B)

¹¹ I will fill you with people and animals,^(A) and they will increase and be fruitful. I will make you inhabited as you once were and make you better off than you were before. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.^(B)
