⁸ Just as Jannes and Jambres^(A) resisted Moses,^(B) so these also resist the truth, men who are corrupt in mind,^(C) worthless^(D) in regard to the faith.

¹¹ It is necessary to silence them; they overthrow whole households by teaching what they shouldn’t in order to get money dishonestly.

¹⁵ To the pure, everything is pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; in fact, both their mind and conscience^(A) are defiled.
