⁸ They are to eat the meat that night; they should eat it, roasted over the fire along with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.^(A)

⁶ Then Jesus told them, “Watch out and beware of the yeast^[a] of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”^(A)

¹¹ Why is it you don’t understand that when I told you, ‘Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees,’ it wasn’t about bread?”^{(A) 12} Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the yeast in bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.^(B)

⁶ Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast^(A) permeates the whole batch of dough?^{(B) 7} Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch. You are indeed unleavened, for Christ our Passover^(C) has been sacrificed.^{[a] 8} Therefore, let us observe the feast, not with old yeast or with the yeast of malice and evil^(D) but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
