²⁴ Then the Lord said to him, “^[a]Go down and come up again, ^(A)you and Aaron with you; but do not let the ^(B)priests and the people break through to come up to the Lord, or He will break out against them.”

⁵ And he sent young men of the sons of Israel, ^(A)and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed bulls as peace offerings to the Lord.

³ Then Moses said to Aaron, “It is what the Lord spoke, saying,

So Aaron, therefore, kept silent.

⁶ They shall be holy to their God and ^(A)not profane the name of their God, because they present the offerings by fire ^[a]to the Lord, ^(B)the food of their God; so they shall be holy. ^7 (C)They shall not take a woman who is a prostitute and ^[b]profaned, nor shall they take a woman divorced from her husband; for he is holy to his God. ⁸ You shall consecrate him, therefore, because he offers ^(D)the food of your God. He shall be holy to you; for I the Lord, who sanctifies you, am holy.
