¹⁷ And I have promised you that I will bring you up from the misery of Egypt^(A) to the land of the Canaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.

⁸ But because the Lord loved^(A) you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors, he brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed^(B) you from the place of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

⁸ Then the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, with terrifying power, and with signs and wonders.

²¹ And who is like your people Israel? God, you came to one nation on earth to redeem a people for yourself, to make a name for yourself through great and awesome works by driving out nations before your people you redeemed from Egypt.^(A)
