⁷ Then the Lord said, “I have observed the misery of My people in Egypt, and have heard them crying out^(A) because of their oppressors, and I know about their sufferings.

²³ If you do mistreat them, they will no doubt cry to Me, and I will certainly hear their cry.^(A)

⁴ Look! The pay that you withheld from the workers^(A) who reaped your fields cries out, and the outcry of the harvesters has reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.^[a](B)
