^13 (A)But rather, you are to tear down their altars and smash their memorial stones, and cut down their ^[a](B)Asherim ¹⁴ —for ^(C)you shall not worship any other god, because the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God—

³ And ^(A)you shall tear down their altars and smash their memorial stones to pieces, and burn their ^[a]Asherim in the fire, and cut to pieces the carved images of their gods; and you shall ^(B)eliminate their name from that place. ⁴ You shall not act this way toward the Lord your God.
