Ezekiel’s Vision of God

1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by ^(A)the River Chebar, that ^(B)the heavens were opened and I saw ^(C)visions^[a] of God.

¹⁴ So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the ^[a]heat of my spirit; but ^(A)the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.

³ He ^(A)stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my hair; and ^(B)the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and ^(C)brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the north gate of the inner court, ^(D)where the seat of the image of jealousy was, which ^(E)provokes^[a] to jealousy.

37 The ^(A)hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out ^(B)in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.

Vision of the Four Beasts

7 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, ^(A)Daniel ^[a]had a dream and ^(B)visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, telling ^[b]the main facts.

⁷ “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, ^(A)a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, ^(B)and it had ten horns.
