⁵ Whether they listen or refuse to listen^(A)—for they are a rebellious house—they will know that a prophet has been among them.^(B)

⁷ But the house of Israel will not want to listen to you because they do not want to listen to Me.^(A) For the whole house of Israel is hardheaded and hardhearted.

⁴¹ “If you were blind,” Jesus told them, “you wouldn’t have sin.^[a](A) But now that you say, ‘We see’—your sin remains.

²⁰ For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world,^(A) being understood through what He has made.^(B) As a result, people are without excuse.

God’s Righteous Judgment

2 Therefore, any one of you^[a](A) who judges is without excuse.^(B) For when you judge another,^(C) you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things.

²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.^(A)
