²⁶ I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth,^(A) and you will be mute^(B) and unable to be a mediator for^[a] them, for they are a rebellious house.

²⁷ On that day your mouth will be opened to talk with him; you will speak and no longer be mute.^(A) So you will be a sign for them, and they will know that I am the Lord.”

²⁰ Now listen. You will become silent and unable to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time.”
