²⁴ Therefore this is what the Lord ^[a]God of armies says: “My people, you who dwell in ^(A)Zion, ^(B)do not fear the Assyrian ^[b]who ^(C)strikes you with the rod, and lifts up his staff against you the way Egypt did.

⁶ And you will be hearing of ^(A)wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.
