¹⁴ He will be a sanctuary;^(A)
but for the two houses of Israel,
he will be a stone^(B) to stumble over
and a rock to trip over,^(C)
and a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

⁴ Trust in the Lord forever,
because in the Lord, the Lord himself, is an everlasting rock!^(A)
