³⁴ Their Redeemer is strong;
the Lord of Armies is his name.
He will fervently champion their cause^(A)
so that he might bring rest to the earth
but turmoil to those who live in Babylon.^(B)

⁸ For this reason her plagues will come in just one day—
death and grief and famine.^(A)
She will be burned up with fire,^(B)
because the Lord God who judges^(C) her is mighty.^(D)
