¹³ Joshua gave Caleb, son of Jephunneh, a share of land among the people of Judah as Yahweh had told them. It was Kiriath Arba (now called Hebron). Arba was the father of Anak. ¹⁴ Caleb forced out Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, three descendants of Anak from Hebron. ¹⁵ From there he marched against the people living in Debir. (In the past Debir was called Kiriath Sepher.)
