⁴⁵ None of the good promises the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed. Everything was fulfilled.^(A)

⁵⁶ “Blessed be the Lord! He has given rest^(A) to his people Israel according to all he has said. Not one of all the good promises he made through his servant Moses has failed.^(B)

God’s Covenant with David

⁴ They are Israelites,^(A) and to them belong the adoption,^(B) the glory,^(C) the covenants,^(D) the giving of the law,^(E) the temple service,^(F) and the promises.^(G)

⁸ For I say that Christ became a servant of the circumcised^[a] on behalf of God’s truth,^(A) to confirm the promises to the fathers,^(B)

7 So then, dear friends, since we have these promises,^(A) let us cleanse ourselves from every impurity of the flesh and spirit,^(B) bringing holiness to completion^[a] in the fear of God.^(C)
