^14 (A)Then the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He handed them over to plunderers, and they plundered them; and ^(B)He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand ^[a]against their enemies.

¹³ Then Gideon said to him, “O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did the Lord not bring us up from Egypt?’ But ^(A)now the Lord has abandoned us and handed us over to Midian.”
