⁴³ They surrounded the men of Binyamin, chased them and trampled them down across from Giv‘ah on the east. ⁴⁴ Eighteen thousand men of Binyamin fell, all of them experienced soldiers. ⁴⁵ They turned and fled toward the desert to the Rock of Rimmon; and 5,000 of them were killed on the roads. They followed them to Gid‘om and killed another 2,000.
