Mark 13:8-10

⁸ For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.^(A) There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines.^[a] These are the beginning^(B) of birth pains.^(C)

Persecutions Predicted

⁹ “But you, be on your guard! They will hand you over to sanhedrins,^[b](D) and you will be flogged^(E) in the synagogues.^(F) You will stand before governors and kings^(G) because of Me,^(H) as a witness^(I) to them.^{(J) 10} And the good news^[c](K) must first be proclaimed to all nations.
