^18 (A)And as He was getting into the boat, the man who had been ^(B)demon-possessed was begging Him that he might ^[a]accompany Him. ¹⁹ And He did not let him, but He *said to him, “^(C)Go home to your people and report to them ^[b]what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you.” ²⁰ And he went away and began to ^(D)proclaim in ^(E)Decapolis ^[c]what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed.

^38 (A)But the man from whom the demons had gone out was begging Him that he might ^[a]accompany Him; but Jesus sent him away, saying, ³⁹ “Return to your home and describe what great things God has done for you.” So he went away, proclaiming throughout the city what great things Jesus had done for him.
