³³ But whoever denies me before others,^(A) I will also deny him before my Father in heaven.

²⁷ Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life^(A) worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm^(B) in one^(C) spirit, in one accord,^[a] contending together for the faith^(D) of the gospel,

The Judgment of False Teachers

2 There were indeed false prophets^(A) among the people, just as there will be false teachers^(B) among you. They will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought^(C) them, and will bring swift destruction on themselves.

⁴ For some people, who were designated for this judgment long ago,^[a](A) have come in by stealth;^(B) they are ungodly,^(C) turning the grace of our God into sensuality and denying^(D) Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord.

¹³ I know^[a] where you live—where Satan’s throne is. Yet you are holding on to my name and did not deny your faith in me,^[b](A) even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness^(B) who was put to death among you, where Satan lives.
