⁵ Jesus sent out these 12 after giving them instructions: “Don’t take the road leading to other nations, and don’t enter any Samaritan^(A) town.

⁷ As you go, announce this: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’^{(A) 8} Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with skin diseases, drive out demons.^(B) You have received free of charge; give free of charge.

⁴³ But He said to them, “I must proclaim the good news about the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because I was sent for this purpose.”

¹¹ When the crowds found out, they followed Him. He welcomed them,^(A) spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and cured^[a] those who needed healing.

⁶⁰ But He told him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and spread the news of the kingdom of God.”^(A)

Sending Out the Seventy

10 After this, the Lord appointed 70^[a] others, and He sent them ahead of Him in pairs to every town and place where He Himself was about to go.

⁹ Heal the sick^(A) who are there, and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God^(B) has come near^(C) you.’
