The Son Gives Knowledge and Rest

²⁵ At that time Jesus said,^(A) “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants.^(B)

²⁹ If anyone hits you on the cheek,^(A) offer the other also. And if anyone takes away your coat, don’t hold back your shirt either.

³⁵ But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High.^(A) For he is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.

⁴² “Father, if you are willing, take this cup^(A) away from me—nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
