^3 (A) Jesus answered:

You surely must have read what David did when he and his followers were hungry.

^4 (A) He went into the house of God, and then they ate the sacred loaves of bread that only priests are supposed to eat.

^25 (A) Jesus answered, “Haven't you read what David did when he and his followers were hungry and in need?

^26 (A) It was during the time of Abiathar the high priest. David went into the house of God and ate the sacred loaves of bread that only priests are allowed to eat. He also gave some to his followers.”

^4 (A) He went into the house of God and took the sacred loaves of bread that only priests were supposed to eat. He not only ate some himself, but even gave some to his followers.”
