17 ^(A)And after six days Jesus took with him ^(B)Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. ² And he was ^(C)transfigured before them, and ^(D)his face shone like the sun, and ^(E)his clothes became white as light.

⁶ When ^(A)the disciples heard this, ^(B)they fell on their faces and were terrified.

^28 (A)Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him ^(B)Peter and John and James and ^(C)went up on the mountain to pray. ²⁹ And as he was praying, the appearance of his face was ^(D)altered, and ^(E)his clothing became dazzling white.

¹⁴ And ^(A)the Word ^(B)became flesh and ^(C)dwelt among us, ^(D)and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son^[a] from the Father, full of ^(E)grace and ^(F)truth.
