6 But the chief priests, having taken the silver-coins, said, “It is not lawful to put them into the temple-treasury, since it is the price of blood”. 7 And having taken counsel, they bought the field of the potter with[a] them, for a burial-place for strangers. 8 For this reason[b], that field was called the Field of Blood up to today.
