⁸⁹ When Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him^(A) from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim.^(B) He spoke to him that way.

⁴ So the people sent men to Shiloh to bring back the ark of the covenant of the Lord of Armies, who is enthroned between the cherubim.^(A) Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

² He and all his troops set out^(A) to bring the ark of God from Baale-judah.^[a] The ark bears the Name, the name of the Lord of Armies who is enthroned between the cherubim.^(B)

¹⁵ Then Hezekiah prayed before the Lord:

Lord God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim,^(A) you are God—you alone—of all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the heavens and the earth.^(B)
