²⁰ The wicked suffer pain all their lives;
    the cruel suffer during all the years saved up for them.
²¹ Terrible sounds ·fill [reach; ^Lare in] their ears,
    and when things ·seem to be going well [are at peace], ·robbers [or destroyers] attack them.

⁵ The wicked are ·filled [terrified] with terror
    where there ·had been nothing to [^Lwas no] fear.
    God will scatter the bones of ·your enemies [the godless].
You will ·defeat [shame; humiliate] them,
    because God has rejected them.
