8 Cine capătă înţelepciune îşi iubeşte sufletul;
cine păstrează priceperea găseşte(A) fericirea.
9 Martorul(B) mincinos nu rămâne nepedepsit
şi cel ce spune minciuni va pieri.
10 Unui nebun nu-i şade bine să trăiască în desfătări,
cu atât mai puţin unui rob(C) să stăpânească peste voievozi.
