Proverbs 10:25-27

International Standard Version

²⁵ When the storm ends, the wicked vanish,^[a]
    but the righteous person is forever firm.

²⁶ As vinegar is to the mouth^[b] and smoke to the eyes,
    so is the lazy person to those who send him.
²⁷ Fearing the Lord prolongs life,
    but the wicked will not live long.
