am pus mâna pe bogăţiile popoarelor, ca pe un cuib, şi, cum se strâng nişte ouă părăsite, aşa am strâns eu tot pământul: niciunul n-a mişcat vreo aripă, nici n-a deschis ciocul ca să ciripească.’ –
